What to expect at
Christ the King
We are a loving church, worshiping God in prayer, music and fellowship. We strive to spread the good news of the Gospel and love and care for all people. Our worship is traditional, dignified and deeply spiritual. Please join us Sundays at 10:30 for a celebration of Christian faith. The Rev. Canon Dr. Bill Schwartz leads our worship service with inspiration and guidance.
Everyone is welcome at Christ the King. Find out more from one of our leaders.
What we believe
We gather to recognize God’s love for the world, and God’s loving existence within all living things. Episcopalians participate in seven traditional practices that give us opportunities to experience and participate in God’s presence together, called sacraments. Participating in worship together strengthens our awareness of community, bringing us together, as the Body of Christ.
The sacraments make use of normal, everyday things such as bread, wine, and water to help tell the story of God’s love within all that exists, and to give us an opportunity to experience God’s presence with us as we worship.
Our Christian Heritage
All questions are good; questions lead to learning. Fr Bill says that you can’t really get the right answer if you don’t know what the questions are. Parishioners are welcome to gather in the church hall at 9:30 before the service each Sunday to bring questions and discover the ‘whys’ of the Bible, Church history and doctrine, and God’s sovereign love in a broken world.
